In Reponse to an Agnostic on Reddit

Agnostic:

“If we consider that so far from all the discovered planets, the earth is the only one that supports life, we are kind of a glitch in the universe. On top of that, from all the living organisms, including bacteria, plants, fungi, only animals, and not all of the animals, evolved a neural system that makes us conscious. That seems like a glitch in a glitch situation, which is so unproblematic to happen that there could be a higher force that created us. However, if the space is infinite, then there is infinite probability for anything to happen, so in that case, another conscious lifeforms had to develop somewhere in the universe. But our understanding of it all is so tiny that it’s impossible to prove or disprove if some kind of higher being exist, hence being agnostic makes the most logical sense.”

Reponse:

In relation to the anomaly, we observe empirical consistencies inherent in the structure of the universe, often referred to as fine-tuning, which facilitate optimal conditions for the sustenance of mentioned living organisms. If this anomaly is perceived as such, it appears to exhibit a judicious and systematic nature.

Regarding the existence of other sentient life forms, I concur that our understanding remains significantly limited. However, the presence or absence of additional conscious life forms would not adequately ascertain or disprove the existence of a divine entity. Additionally, the argument presupposes an infinite expanse, whereas the existence of an actual infinite is not feasible.

Allow me to present an argument in the form of a formula:

  1. The universe is real and thus finite.
  2. Finite entities could originate from nothingness, self-generate, be ultimately created by something fashioned, or be the creation of an uncreated entity.
  3. They cannot emerge from nothingness, self-generate, or be ultimately created by something fashioned.
  4. Therefore, they must have been created by an uncreated entity.

I assert that this uncreated entity is what I affirm as God (Allah). I respectfully disagree that maintaining an agnostic stance represents the most logically coherent position.
